Empowering Communities
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide women and youth with the tools, support, and platforms they need to lead, innovate, and advocate for their rights, creating a more inclusive and equitable society. We will achieve this by fostering leadership skills, promoting education and training, and building networks for collaboration and empowerment.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where women and youth are empowered, engaged, and equipped with the skills, resources, and opportunities to fulfil their potential and drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
Alliance for Community Initiative (AfCI) was founded by 10 peer educators in 2010 under the Universal Access to the Female Condom Project (UAFC) in Kumba, Southwest Region of Cameroon. The Global Fund project was aimed at scaling up the prevention of HIV/AIDS among adolescents (ages 15–24). This project contributed to reducing HIV-related mobility and mortality from 2016–2017 in Kumba, Cameroon. After receiving training as peer educators from the campaigns mentioned above, we decided to make valuable contributions to our society. Register G.39/SAAJP/D14/5/63 by January 31, 2018, as an association under Law No. 90/53 of December 19, 1990, governing freedom of association.
